St. John Bosco Schools — Chesterton Academy of Rochester recently received a $16,749 grant from Rochester Area Community Foundation to enhance its athletic department.
“We’re so grateful for this support to the Bosco — Chesterton athletic program,” said Colleen Richards, headmaster. “Our students are ready to play. With the support of the Ralph C. Wilson Legacy Fund, we can broaden our program and fully train our coaches.”
Current extracurricular athletics opportunities at St. John Bosco and Chesterton Academy include basketball, cross country and a rifle team. The enhancement includes coach certifications, physical education equipment and volleyball.
St. John Bosco Schools seeks to support parents as the primary educators of their children by cultivating the whole person, uniting spiritual life with work, study and play.
