The Baird Nursing Home received the 2018 Eli Pick Facility Leadership Award from the American College of Health Care Ambassadors.
Only 11 percent of facilities nationwide qualify for this award.
Award recipients are selected based on publicly collected data that identifies high-performing, skilled-nursing facilities and their leaders. To be eligible, facilities must have the current administrator on record for the full calendar year, occupancy of at least 85 percent, avoid special focus facility status and at least one Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services four-quarter average quality measures score matching various criteria regarding percentage of residents with short- and long-stay pain, pressure ulcers, urinary tract infection and psychotropic medications.
This is the second time the Baird Nursing Home has received this award. Eli Pick and John Sheridan developed this awards program to use data criteria objectively to identify high-performing nursing facilities and leadership.
