President Chuck Gannon recently passed on the gavel to President-elect Andy Gray at the 59th annual Greece Rotary Club installation dinner.
Retiring board members were thanked for their service, and newly elected board were welcomed. The club presented three awards in front of over 70 Rotarians and guests.
Dan Barletta was named Rotarian of the Year, citing his club involvement and emphasizing the role he played in foundation growth.
The Community Service Recognition Award, which goes to a non-Rotarian community member, went to Ralph DeStephano. Among his contributions are roles with Greece Regional Chamber of Commerce, Greece Central School District, the school board and St. Joseph’s Villa, now known as Villa of Hope.
Greece Rotary posthumously awarded a Paul Harris Fellow +4 upgrade to Dan Richardson, who died this past winter. His wife, Carol Richardson, accepted the plaque.
