Students from the Byron-Bergen Builder’s Club recently presented a $500 check to support Rochester Regional Health’s chemical dependency program.
The club raised funds through coin collections and basket raffles over the course of the school year. As a group, students decided to donate those funds to the Behavioral Health Treatment Center at Unity.
The club made inspirational cards for patients to read during their treatment at the center.
The Builder’s Club was founded three years ago, and is sponsored by Byron Kiwanis Club. Designed to build future community leaders, the club provides students in grades 8-10 with hands-on opportunities to build leadership skills and develop positive character traits through volunteering and fundraising.
