Roberts Wesleyan College recently was approved by the New York State Education Department to offer a new Bachelor of Science program in biomedical sciences starting in the fall.
The new biomedical sciences program is part of the School of Natural and Social Sciences, where Julia Grimm serves as dean. It will combine a foundation in general sciences with emphasis in anatomy, physiology, pathology and mechanisms of disease.
The degree prepares students for careers and graduate programs from scientists in health care, government and industry to graduate level health care programs such as allopathic medicine, epidemiology, osteopathic medicine, physician assistant, public health, physical therapy and occupational therapy.
