The Bonadio Group welcomes 32 interns for the 2018 summer session, offering a hands-on learning experience in four of the firm’s state offices: Albany, Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse.
This year, students come from 16 different colleges, taking on assignments in divisions including health care tax exempt, government compliance/labor, professional excellence, internal audit, commercial, marketing, enterprise risk management and small business advisory.
“Our internship program is an excellent opportunity for students to share in our culture, experiencing firsthand what sets our firm apart from others,” CEO Thomas Bonadio said. “It also allows our leaders to get a better sense of the future of our profession with emerging talent. From the comprehensive orientation to the mentoring, engagement and community activities, joining this internship program can often be the first step to becoming a team member after graduation.”
The internship program offers paid positions, focusing on tax (January-April) or auditing (June-August) across a wide array of departments, disciplines and teams. Based on office need and availability, the internship placements create a chance for students to learn about the complexity of services firsthand. Developing an understanding of an accounting firm and its capabilities gives students a better idea of where they want to focus their talent once they hone a specific skill set at The Bonadio Group.
