If you're heading out on a boat this weekend, chances are you'll notice an increase in law enforcement on the waters.

The State Park Police announced increased enforcement starting Friday.

In addition to more officers patrolling the waterways there will be checkpoints to stop people from boating under the influence.

The goal of all this is to cut down on boating accidents and deaths caused by impaired boating
