Activists in Rochester are joining protests in more than 700 cities across the country over illegal immigration.

Hundreds of people filled Washington Square Park Saturday afternoon.

According to the New York immigration coalition between April 19 and the end of May, nearly 2,000 children of families who'd come into the country illegally, have been taken to separate facilities as their families were detained.
