Local soldiers re-enlist with New York Army National Guard
Spc. Jacob Napier, of Hilton, and Sgt. 1st Class Jeramy Baldwin, Spc. Zachery Elliott and Sgt. 1st Class Timothy Lamagra, of Rochester, recently re-enlisted to continue service in the New York Army National Guard.
Baldwin serves with the 1108th Ordnance Company (EOD). Elliott re-enlisted to serve with the Headquarters and Support Company, 642nd Support Battalion.
Lamagra re-enlisted to serve with the Company E, 427th Brigade Support Battalion. Napier serves with the A Troop, 2-101 Cavalry (Reconnaissance, Surveillance and Target Acquisition).
Greece resident joins LeChase Construction
Mike Ricotta, of Greece, recently joined LeChase Construction Services LLC as a senior project manager in its Rochester office.
Ricotta will manage, develop, maintain and oversee all functions of assigned projects at the preconstruction, construction and post-construction phases. Those functions include safety, construction planning and cost-control procedures.
He previously worked for LeChase as a senior estimator and project manager before relocating to Orlando, Florida in 1998. There, he managed various construction and renovation projects for a firm.
Ricotta holds an associate degree from Alfred State College, and is a member of Associated Builders and Contractors.
Gates Chili director certified as master athletic administrator
Patrick Irving, director of physical education, health and athletics at Gates Chili Central School District, recently was recognized by the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association as a certified master athletic administrator.
To earn this distinction, Irving demonstrated exemplary knowledge, contributions and ongoing professional development in the field of interscholastic athletic administration.
The voluntary certification process includes an evaluation of the candidate's educational background, experience, NIAAA leadership courses and professional contributions. It ends with a practical written or oral presentation project.
