Members of the Brighton Police Department, with the assistance of the Gates Police Department, Monroe Community College Public Safety Department and the Monroe County District Attorney’s Office, arrested three suspects June 28 for kidnapping in the second degree, Penal Law section 135.20.
The charges stem from a domestic related incident that occurred at 3:30 p.m. on the afternoon of June 27. The three suspects forced a female MCC student, whom they knew, into their car while she was walking in a parking lot after leaving a class at the MCC campus located at 1000 E. Henrietta Road.
The female was taken against her will to a motel in the town of Gates where she was assaulted. The female was treated and released from the University of Rochester Medical Center.
Additional charges may be pending after grand jury action.
The three suspects were each arraigned by Brighton Town Judge John Falk and remanded to the Monroe County Jail on $100,000 cash or $200,000 bond.
