Adult programs
AARP Driver Safety Class: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on July 13. The cost for the program is $20 for AARP members, $25 for nonmembers, payable at the class. Make checks payable to AARP. No cash. To be eligible for insurance discount and/or DMV point reduction, remember to bring a driver’s license. This is a full day class. Attendees may bring a lunch or go out to lunch during the break.
Teen programs
Babysitter’s Training Course: 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on July 12. This interactive class teaches participants the role and responsibilities of a babysitter and includes skills in: accident prevention, basic first aid, emergency recognition and caring for infants and toddlers. Bring a bagged lunch and beverage for the break. Students will receive a certificate of completion and a book bag or mini backpack. Registration is limited to 15 students. Cost is $55, payable via cash/check/charge at the class.

Stories for Wee Ones: 10:15 to 10:45 a.m. on Mondays. For ages 2 and younger.
Stories and Songs for ages 2-5: 1 to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesdays.
Stories and Songs for All Ages: 10:15 to 10:45 a.m. on Thursdays
Thursday Night is Family Night: 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Thursdays. All ages. Stop in any Thursday evening for a variety of activities the entire family will enjoy. Check the program calendar to see what the day’s activity will be.
Tree Identification at Hickory Bark Woods: 10 to 11:15 a.m. on July 13. Take a walk with Jason in Hickory Bark woods and learn to identify some common local trees. The group will then make their own tree identification guides for handy reference later on. Meet at the Hickory Bark Woods entrance in the softball field parking lot on Van Ingen, kitty-corner from the library entrance. Wear long pants or boots because there are patches of poison ivy, though the group will be staying on or close to the trail. For children going into third grade or older, accompanied by an adult. No registration.
