The Faculty Artist Series at Eastman School of Music, 26 Gibbs St., Rochester, will continue with four concerts in August and September in Kilbourn Hall.
Russell Miller, professor of vocal coaching and repertoire, will perform works by Debussy, Faure and Ravel with cellist Jolyon Pegis at 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 29.
Nine faculty members will present a jazz and contemporary media concert at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 4: Jeff Campbell, bass; Bill Dobbins, Dariusz Terefenko and Gary Versace, piano; Clay Jenkins, trumpet; Mark Kellogg, trombone; Charles Pillow, saxophone; Bob Sneider, guitar; and Rich Thompson, drums.
Alexander Kobrin, assistant professor of piano, will play Chopin’s Piano Sonatas No. 1-3 at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 6.
Tony Caramia, professor of piano, will present “A European Travelogue” with Campbell, Jenkins, Sneider and Thompson at 3 p.m. on Sept. 30. The program features jazz compositions by European composers Martinu, Vladigerov, Schulhoff, Shearing and Zawinul, as well as contemporary women jazz pianists.
Caramia also serves as director of piano pedagogy studies, coordinator of the class piano program and affiliate faculty of jazz studies and contemporary media.
