Smith was arraigned to Livingston County Jail on $250 cash bail or $500 bond.

A Chili man is facing felony drug charges related to a traffic stop on August 5.

James Smith, 38, was pulled over for violations of the NYS vehicle and traffic law. A driver's license check revealed Smith was operating the vehicle while his license had been suspended 32 times prior.

Smith was also found to be in possession of marijuana.

The 38-year-old was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the second degree and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Smith allegedly concealed concentrated cannabis in the backseat of the deputies vehicle. This led to additional charges of felony tampering with physical evidence and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree.

Smith was arraigned to Livingston County Jail on $250 cash bail or $500 bond.
