All ages
Puzzle Swap: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Aug. 10. Celebrate the last days of summer by trying a new puzzle with friends and family. The library will have a jigsaw puzzle exchange all day long. Bring a puzzle and get one that’s new. Multiple exchanges welcome. There will also be other kinds of puzzles. Work on a puzzle at the library or take one home. All ages.
Adult programs
Sit and stitch: 3:30 to 5 p.m. on Mondays.
Dog Days of Summer Film Fest: 1:15 to 3:15 p.m. on Tuesdays throughout August. Take a break from the heat and enjoy a classic movie or musical on the big screen, along with free refreshments. The library will be showing some classic films of yesteryear. Full details are available on the website or come into the library and pick up a flyer. Join and bring friends.
Intro to Bullet Journaling: 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 9. Bullet Journaling was introduced to help people organize their thoughts and ideas. A bullet journal comes with blank pages for people to turn into an agenda, sketchbook, scrapbook, memory log, etc. Join as two staff members share their bullet journal techniques. The library will be going over tips and tricks they’ve learned along the way and creating some demo pages. Participants can even enter to win a bullet journal gift basket.
AARP Drivers’ Safety Class: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Aug. 10. The cost for the program is $20 for AARP members, $25 for nonmembers, payable at the class. Make a check payable to AARP. No cash, please. Also, to be eligible for the insurance discount and/or DMV point reduction, remember to bring your driver’s license. This is a full day class. Attendees may bring their lunch or go out to lunch during the break. Registration required.
