Nancy Gong, of Rochester, received the Best in Show Award from Arts at the Gardens, the recent juried art show at Sonnenberg Gardens in Canandaigua.
Gong exhibited fused, kiln-formed and laminated glass sculptures for interior and exterior settings. The sculptures serve as prototypes for applications in residential, loft living and larger modern and contemporary architectural art glass designs.
Her installations are featured in regional homes, offices and institutions including Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester Museum and Science Center and the Port of Rochester.
Gong is the owner/principal designer of Gong Glass Works, where she designs and fabricates
commissioned architectural and fine art glass projects for residential, commercial and public clients. Her works reflect the spirit and energy of living things, inspired by the temperament of her Asian background. Gong’s artistic mission to make a connection to the organic nature of the human spirit to the built environment.
