The district hired Student Tours and Travel to take the high school band and chorus to NYC last April.

The Pittsford Central School District is suing a bus touring company claiming it owes them a refund after a student trip fell through last school year.

The district had hired Student Tours and Travel to take members of the high school band and chorus to New York City last April.

However, in court papers obtained by Messenger Post's news partner, News10NBC, the district claims the company failed to provide "school-qualified" bus drivers and the trip had to be canceled.

The district is suing for breach of contract and is trying to recover the $37,000 it paid to Student Tours and Travel.
