Residents of Woodcrest Commons, a DePaul Senior Living Community in Henrietta, took home the trophy for the 11th annual DePaul Senior Olympics on Oct. 19 at DePaul’s Recreation Center in Rochester.
Renie Stanbrook received a ribbon for her first-place finish in ladder golf from DePaul Activity Coordinator Austin Pettigrew. Diane Urban placed second in the word search competition, and Recreation Supervisor Dan Charcholla presented a ribbon to Rosanne Bourne and Bill Cummings during DePaul’s Senior Olympics.
Woodcrest Commons Senior Olympics team included Stanbrook, Cummings, Bourne, Urban, Marketing Director Tanya Passarell, Activities Director Lindsay Lown, Activities Assistant London-Paris Sanders, Doug Kurlan and Andrea Heath.
Woodcrest Commons participated in the annual games along with residents from four other DePaul Senior Living Communities — Westwood Commons in North Chili, Glenwell in Cheektowaga, Horizons in Canandaigua and Wheatfield Commons in North Tonawanda. Events included a spelling bee, word search, ladder golf, shuffleboard, a putting green, bean bag toss, Wii Bowling and Keep Up.
