Rochester Police are investigating a shooting near the RTS bus station on North Clinton Avenue. Investigators say the gunshot victim went inside the station to seek help and shelter following the incident.

Rochester Police are investigating a shooting near the RTS bus station on North Clinton Avenue.

Police say that at just before 9 a.m. Friday morning, a 23-year-old male city resident was shot one time in the leg. He was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The incident did not stem from or occur within the Rochester Transit Center. However, the victim did go inside the center to seek help and shelter following the incident.

RTS officials say the bus system is not affected by the investigation and remains open.
