CANANDAIGUA — Two sisters were arrested after a physical altercation inside a Gorham Street home.

The City of Canandaigua Police say the dispute started on Nov. 10 when Carolyn Godbolt, 22, entered another woman’s residence and started a fight over a neighborly quarrel. After the fight, Carolyn's big sister, Taneia Godbolt, 25, jumped in on the action, entered the house armed with pepper spray, and inadvertently sprayed the victim's 2-year-old child.

Carolyn Godbolt of Canandaigua was charged with second degree criminal trespass and second degree harassment. Taneia Godbolt of Geneva was charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Unlawful Possession of Noxious Materials.

The female victim and her toddler were treated at the scene for exposure to the pepper spray.
