Episcopal SeniorLife Communities will host a new art exhibit titled “Nature’s Trophies”, photography by Joseph Woody, from Jan. 7, 2009, to Feb. 17, 2010, at The Episcopal Church Home, 505 Mount Hope Ave.
The gallery will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily and is wheelchair accessible.
Woody is a self-taught wildlife and scenic photographer. His favorite subject is the common loon but he enjoys capturing images of various wildlife and landscapes. Most of his photographs are from the Adirondacks and the greater Rochester area but he also enjoys photo trips to the western U.S. and Canada.
His photographs have been displayed at the Remington Art Museum in Ogdensburg, Creative Spirit Art Center in Potsdam and the Image City Photography Gallery in Rochester. His collage of red fox photos won the People’s Choice Award at the 2008 PhotoSho in Keene Valley, New York.
