The Beal Institute, under the direction of Mark Watters, will present “Visual Music: An Evening of World-Premiere Film and Music Collaborations” at 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 17 in Kilbourn Hall at the Eastman School of Music, 26 Gibbs St., Rochester.
The free program will include compositions from Eastman’s contemporary media and film scoring department, performed live-to-picture by the 40-piece Empire Film and Media Ensemble, as well as music by Jeff Beal and Ray Wright.
These compositions represent visual music, and showcase films from Rochester Institute of Technology student filmmakers, classic silent films and video games.
