A local bird made popular by Youtube was featured on NBC's "Today Show" Friday morning.
Judy Bolton, of Penfield, bought Disco the parakeet in 2010 from Birds Unlimited in Webster.
When her family noticed Disco's quirky habit of forming words by chirping, they started taping his antics and posting the videos on Youtube.
"Once he started talking we posted videos for family and friends across the country to see him," said Bolton.
Little did she know that Disco would become go viral as sites like MSN and The Huffington Post picked it up.
This week alone, the Bolton family has been contacted by "Good Morning America," CNN, and even a British tabloid asking permission to post the videos.
The family appeared on NBC Friday with Disco and his veterinarian. Click here to view the clip.
