Episcopal SeniorLife Communities (ESLC) is committed to expanding services in order to provide more options for seniors to age in their place of choice. Now available is a transportation service for seniors as part of their Neighborhood Programming. This service is currently available to any senior living in Henrietta, Northeast Greece, and the South Wedge area of Rochester. A similar program is coming soon for seniors in the Gates Chili/Ogden area. Rides are available to/from community functions, social events, medical appointments and other personal errands.
In order to fulfill the many requests, ESLC is in need of volunteer drivers for this program.
Volunteer drivers can expect to attend a one-time training, choose a geographic area that is convenient for them, and set their own hours. Supplemental accident insurance, liability coverage and mileage reimbursement are also provided to volunteer drivers.
