Charlotte Symonds, a local author, has written two novels whose books have recently been released in paperback. She was born and raised in New York City but has called Irondequoit home for more than 20 years. Her passion for creating stories has been a driving force in her taking up the challenge to write novels.
While raising her children in Irondequoit and working full time, she constantly had ideas for story lines. It wasn’t until her children reached high school age that she was able to forge enough time to sit down and formally put them onto paper.
Her first novel, What The Heart Can Hold, is more than simply a romance novel. It is a touching love story of twenty-two days in the life of a woman who finally finds love.
One of her reviewers stated, “It’s cheaper than a cup of coffee at Starbucks and twice as hot.”
Her second novel, Until One Day, takes on a different genre. This novel touches on love in all its forms including the love of friends, parents, married couples (young and old) and of first love. The story takes place on Christmas Eve with four strangers, each with their own quandary, unknowingly touching each others’ life while searching for an answer to their hopeless situation.
She was recently interviewed by Norma Holland on Fox Rochester’s Good Day Rochester morning show and was a participant in the Barnes and Nobles Local Authors Book Fair.
Her books are available at Amazon, Barnes and Noble and Apple ibooks.
