Brighton High School Citizens of the World (COW) Club recently held a successful dance marathon to raise money for AutismUP. The event included help from hundreds of individuals from COW club, AutismUP and school volunteers.

The planning process began back in October when the COW club notified school officials about their idea for a marathon. Club members spent long hours preparing for the event calling businesses and volunteers. The club had to provide the board of education with budget and list of volunteers among other things for approval.

COW club members spent long hours and lots of hard work and determination to make the event a huge success. The night would also not have been possible without all of the sponsors who donated food and raffle prizes auctioned off during the night.

The event raised $4,363 for AutismUp. Club members were very pleased to see the Dance Marathon go off without a hitch, and are hopeful to make this a Brighton tradition for years to come.
