Hunt Real Estate ERA hires manager for Greece location
Hunt Real Estate ERA recently hired Charles Murphy to manage their Greece, Hornell and Alfred locations.
Murphy, formerly with Nothnagle Realtors in Penn Yan, brings nearly five years of successful real estate experience to Hunt, averaging over 20 sales per year.
Founded in 1911, Hunt Real Estate ERA is ranked the 45th largest real estate firm in the nation for closed transactions in 2014 by REALTrends. Hunt also operates a commercial brokerage, mortgage banking firm, two insurance agencies, title agency, a relocation division, residential building company and a fee-for-service brokerage.
Rochester resident named Distinguished Alumnus of the Year at Syracuse University
Mike Vadala, president and CEO of The Summit Federal Credit Union, was recently recognized as Syracuse University’s Distinguished Alumnus of the Year.
The award recognizes and honors a Rochester area alumnus of Syracuse University who has been exemplary in his or her chosen profession and service to the community.
Greece resident receives Certified Wealth Strategist designation
Michael Masiello of Masiello Retirement Solutions recently received the Certified Wealth Strategist designation, which is awarded to those individuals completing a comprehensive program of study surrounding key wealth management issues facing clients’ today.
Obtaining the designation provides financial services professionals with the technical knowledge, practice management processes and the client communication skills needed to create and build a client centric wealth advisory practice. The primary goal of the CWS practice is to work as an effective partner for their clients with more complex wealth issues.
Masiello entered the financial services industry in 1990 and formed Masiello Retirement Solutions, an independent financial services firm with access with a wide range of products and solutions for clients, in 1994. The firm’s focus is to assist individuals by focusing on the financial planning process. The firm is located at 1081 Long Pond Road, Rochester.
Greece Arcadia student receives horticulture scholarship
Laura Gaenzler, a Greece Arcadia High School student, received the Willard E. Van Putte Scholarship from Van Putte Gardens on May 24.
During her high school years, Gaenzler has been active as a volunteer for Greece Residents Assisting Stray Pets, Special Olympics and Ella Bounce House Charity Event. She is a member of the National Honor Society and was a team leader/project supervisor in the horticulture and landscaping class at GAHS.
Van Putte Gardens offers an annual $500 scholarship award to a graduating local high school senior who demonstrates excellence in academics and community involvement, and who is planning a future career in horticulture or its related fields.
Gaenzler will attend SUNY Brockport in the fall to study environmental science.
