For residents living along the Ontario Lake shore and along Irondequoit Bay, the Webster Highway Department has been making up sandbags for the past few weeks. If you only need a small amount of sandbags, you can come to the Highway Department, located on Picture Parkway, and the highway crew will put some in your vehicle. If you need more than your vehicle can hold, they will deliver a pallet to you (50 sandbags) after you sign a release form at the Highway office. For more information, please contact the Highway Department at (585) 872-1443.
I continue to be in touch with the Monroe County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo and have fielded calls from Gov. Cuomo’s office on the needs of Webster residents regarding the rising water levels on Lake Ontario. If you need something, please do not hesitate to call my office at (585)872-7068, and we will see what we can do from the resources we have.
Thank you
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the 145 residents that took the time to go to the Wastewater Treatment Plant on April 27 to drop off 331 pounds of outdated and/or expired medications. This program helps us to properly dispose of medications and not have them in a landfill or make their way into Lake Ontario.
I would be remiss if I did not thank our employees at the Wastewater Treatment Plant and Webster Police Department for coordinating and collecting the medications. I would also like to thank the Webster Health and Education Network and the Webster PTSA for their help in promoting this event.
New business opening
