State Sen. Rich Funke, R-Perinton, announced Wednesday he will be chairman of the Senate Cultural Affairs, Tourism, Parks and Recreation Committee.

State Sen. Rich Funke, R-Perinton, announced Wednesday he will be chairman of the Senate Cultural Affairs, Tourism, Parks and Recreation Committee.
“The Cultural Affairs, Tourism, Parks & Recreation Committee is a direct connection to many of our most vital quality-of-life assets, which positions us well to push for more local jobs and investment. I look forward to working with all of my committee colleagues to keep advocating for Monroe and Ontario counties in 2016,” Funke stated in a release.
For the 2016 legislative session, Funke was also assigned to the following committees: as vice chairman of the Select Committee on Science, Technology, Incubation, & Entrepreneurship; and a member of the committees on Aging; Agriculture; Cities; Commerce; Economic Development & Small Business; Consumer Protection; Environmental Conservation; and Higher Education.
