Beatrice Place of Episcopal SeniorLife Communities and home to the Northeast Greece Neighborhood Program recently hosted the Great Steak Out for residents, guests and community members.
ESLC Executive Chef David Watkins grilled and prepared custom meals based on pre-orders and served 88 dinners throughout the evening.
Most who attended brought their own dinner plate and enjoyed a meal in the common area, while others brought take-out containers so they could eat at home.
The program was launched in March and is now a monthly event.
The next Steak Out event will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Sept. 27; orders will be accepted through Sept. 26 by contacting 585-546-8439, ext. 4410 or mvanauker@EpiscopalSeniorLife.org.
Menu items include filet, sirloin, chicken, lobster, shrimp skewers and seafood platters and are offered at a nominal fee.
