The Charles Finney School recently announced record enrollment for its 2016-17 school year, which marks the private Christian school’s 25th anniversary year.

“We have more than 370 students enrolled at the Charles Finney School,” said Michael VanLeeuwen, president. “This is a 17 percent increase from last year’s 317 students, which is significant to years past. We have a lot to celebrate during this 25th anniversary year: record enrollment, improvements to our academic complex, new online learning programs and more. We look forward to what the next quarter-century will bring.”

The Charles Finney School broke ground on enhancements to their athletic complex earlier this summer, including a new press box, bleachers, scoreboard and concessions. A field dedication ceremony will take place at the school’s homecoming Sept. 24. The field improvements are the result of an anonymous gift the school received in May. The $1 million donation was the largest in the school’s history.

The school was also recently accredited by the Middle States Association. The association recognized Finney based on a set of research-based performance standards.
