The Penfield Public Library, 1985 Baird Road, will host the following programs.

Registration starts for storytimes: 10 a.m. Sept. 8. Registration for storytimes will start for Penfield town of school district residents. Phone difficulties are possible due to volume of calls. Stop by the library to register, if possible. Nonresidents can register starting Sept. 15. Online registration is not available.

Used book sale: 2 to 9 p.m. Sept. 13, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sept. 14-15, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 16 and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 17. The 40th annual sale will feature a presale for Friends of the Penfield Public Library on Sept. 13, a kickoff celebration Sept. 14, a half-price sale Sept. 16 and a $3 bag sale Sept. 17. Wegmans/Tops reusable bags are accepted. Over 85,000 books will be sorted into 50 categories.

Book discussion group — “The Lake of Dreams” by Kim Edwards: 7 to 9 p.m. Sept. 15. Copies are available at the circulation desk.
