The Rochester Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta sorority will host community discussion "Why Vote in a Presidential Election?" from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Sept. 28 at New Bethel CME Church, 270 Scio St., Rochester.

A panel and members of the audience will have an opportunity to share reasons why people should or should not vote

Panelists will include DeWayne Lucas, associate professor of political science at Hobart and William Smith Colleges, and the Rev. Weldon Thomas, pastor of New Bethel CME Church.

A video clip from the Sept. 26 televised presidential debate will be shown as part of the program.
