Jewish Senior Life honors employees for exceptional service
Jewish Senior Life announced that Mary Pellicane and Nicole Right are the 2016 recipients of the Leon Rosen Award for Exceptional Customer Service.
Both recipients are certified nursing aides and were selected for their commitment to providing exceptional experiences to residents.
“Whether it’s a subtle change in my father’s health or something to make his physical environment a little more comfortable and pleasant, she notices the smallest things and goes out of her way to follow up,” said one resident’s family member about Mary. “I have the feeling that she really cares about my father and the other residents, and that makes such a difference to everyone’s sense of well being.”
Another family member said about Nicole, “I was very moved to learn that she got permission to take my dad and a few other residents to her home where she and her mother put on a barbeque for them. I am impressed by the high quality of affection and care she consistently gives my dad and our family. She obviously knows him well and can give us details about his care, which shows how much attention she gives to the residents.”
The award was made possible through a donation from Leon Rosen’s children, Richard Rosen and Ellen Rosen Konar, to honor their father. He had many customer service jobs throughout his career and raised his children with the mantra, “Take an extra second and do it right.”
