Yates County Sheriff's deputies took a criminal impersonation complaint that led to the arrest.
A Canandaigua man has been charged with impersonating a Canandaigua police officer, according to Yates County Sheriff’s Office. Dominick A. Monge, 21, of 46 Clark St. admitted to impersonating the officer by leaving a voice message with a resident in the town of Jerusalem, deputies said.
Yates County deputies took a criminal impersonation complaint on Jan. 21, 2017 and an investigation led to Monge’s arrest, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Monge was charged with first-degree criminal impersonation. He was issued an appearance ticket to be in Jerusalem Town Court at a later date.
