Rochester Eye and Laser Center, 30 N. Union St., Rochester, recently held an open house after completion of its renovations and upgrades.
CEO Kenneth Lindahl welcomed representatives from local businesses to learn more about the plans for the Inner Loop East area. Commissioner Baye Muhammad from the city of Rochester’s Department of Neighborhood and Business Development was the guest of honor.
Muhammad said that the Inner Loop East transformation is a vision that goes back over 10 years. Current development plants adjacent to Rochester Eye and Laser Center include apartments, mixed-use development, the Strong Museum expansion and a family-centric hotel with a pool and play area.
“We are faced with a lot of challenges and opportunities in the city, and we are seeing positive results,” Muhammad said. “Local faith and investment in the city will help us achieve our goal of providing new jobs, safer and more vibrant neighborhoods and better educational opportunities for our residents.”
