The Hilton Cadet Cupboard will hold a food drive from 9 a.m. to noon Feb. 18 at Hilton High School, 400 East Ave.
Food can be dropped off at the back door near the tennis courts. Kid-friendly, nonperishable items will be accepted; glass and/or perishable items will not be accepted.
Cadet Cupboard, a food pantry for Hilton Central School District students, provides children in need with food that they can take home and prepare on their own. A child can be fed for an entire weekend for $6.
“Food is a basic need for everyone, but especially for growing children,” said Scott Ziobrowski, Hilton food service director and program coordinator. “Childhood nutrition is critical to their mental and physical development.”
