Hochstein School of Music and Dance, 50 N. Plymouth Ave., Rochester, will present “Three Minutes of Fame” at 10:30 a.m. March 4 and Hochstein Sinfonia and Concertino Strings at 2 p.m. March 5.
Hochstein Youth Singers will perform various vocal and instrumental solos during “Three Minutes of Fame” in the Hilda D. Taylor Recital Hall.
Musicians grades four through nine in Hochstein’s Sinfonia and grades one through five in Concertino Strings will give a joint afternoon concert. Concertino Strings will perform Jorge Andrés Arbeláez’s “Marcha con Variaciones,” Scherzo for String Orchestra by Edmund Siennicki and “Stick Horse Parade” by Walter J. Halen. Sinfonia will perform Felix Mendelssohn’s Sinfonia No. 3 in E Minor, Tchaikovsky’s Serenade for Strings and “Skylife” by David Balakrishnan.
