American Legions from throughout Monroe County recently sponsored 30 junior high school boys to attend American Legion Boys’ State of New York at SUNY Morrisville.
The 30 delegates representing Monroe County were John Bates, Caleb Blank, Zebedee Blank, Nicholas Bober, Kenyon Carlson, Daniel Christman, Steven D’Ambra, Cameron Davis, Michael DiFlorio, Frederick Finter, Christopher Hart, Quinlan Ignaszak, Corey Ingham, Cameron Irland, Nicholas Kachala, Benjamin Kazimer, Matt Klenk, Markus Knoell, Paul Krenzer, Jonathan Lyon, Brady McDermott, Benjamin Meister, Noah Mundt, Calvin Nau, Garrett Nolte, Alec Nugent, Stephen Richards, Charles Shi, Jason Tabit and Joshua Valdez.
The American Legion program developed from the concept that youth should be offered a better perspective of the practical operation of government.
Boys’ State inculcates individual responsibility to the community, state and nation. It is operated with a two-party system on the basis of the political government organization as it exists in New York state at all levels, from local municipalities to state government.
