The Penfield Public Library, 1985 Baird Road, will host the following programs.
Build a Better World — The Summer Reading Game: through Aug. 2. For grades 6-12. Get scratch-off prize tickets for a chance to win. Pick up a coupon book filled with reading challenges to complete throughout the summer.
Adult Summer Reading Program: through Aug. 4. For ages 18 and older. Complete one raffle slip for each book read to be eligible for weekly prizes.
Book Discussion Group: 7 to 9 p.m. July 20. Discuss “Pleasantville” by Attica Locke. New members welcome.
Build a Better World — Learn About Solid Waste and Recycling: 7 to 8:30 p.m. July 26. For grades 6-12. Learn about landfills, recycling and composting from a Monroe County Environmental Services educator. Registration is required.
Habitat for Humanity: 7 to 8 p.m. July 27. Sheila Sloan, construction manager for Flower City Habitat for Humanity, will discuss the history of the Christian housing ministry. Registration is requested.
