Rod Stewart with special guest Cyndi Lauper performed before die-hard fans Saturday at Constellation Brands–Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center in Hopewell. 

Lauper, a singer, songwriter, actress and LGBT rights activist, has had a colorful career that’s spanned more than three decades and such songs as "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" and "Time After Time." Sir Rod Stewart is best known for hits like "Infatuation," "Tonight's the Night (Gonna Be Alright),” "Forever Young," "You're in My Heart," "Rhythm of My Heart," "The First Cut Is the Deepest, "Hot Legs" and "Maggie May" over his 45-year career. 

Next up at CMAC is Jethro Tull by Ian Anderson on Tuesday, Aug. 15. Tickets are $35 to $69.50, with lawn seating from $25 to $30. The rest of the season includes Santana, Aug. 18; Luke Bryan, Aug. 24; Thomas Rhett, Aug. 30; and The Avett Brothers, Sept. 2.
