Webster court reporter elected to NCRA leadership
Meredith Bonn, of Webster, recently was elected to serve a three-year term on the board of directors for National Court Reporters Association, which represents stenographic court reporters, broadcast captioners, CART providers and legal videographers,.
Bonn started court reporting in 1990, and was named official senior court reporter for the New York State 7th Judicial District in Rochester in 2007. She holds the nationally recognized professional certification of Registered Professional Reporter.
Bonn is president of New York State Court Reporters Association. She served as chairman of its 2014 Convention Committee, and is actively involved in promoting the court reporting profession. She also has presented at Careers in the Courthouse programs, and is a leader of the Steno A to Z program in Rochester.
Webster resident joins Johnstone Supply
Michael Fedunyszyn, of Webster, recently joined Johnstone Supply as its accounting assistant.
He will be responsible for accounts receivable, account reconciliation and assisting with customer accounts for the Rochester and Syracuse branches in this newly created position.
Fedunyszyn earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting from St. John Fisher College. He previously worked in finance at Webster Public Library.
Webster volunteer assists with Hurricane Harvey relief
Lucille Frisicano, of Webster, recently departed for Texas to assist with Hurricane Harvey relief efforts.
The American Red Cross is working along the Gulf Coast to help people whose lives have been impacted by the storm. Thousands have been forced to leave their flooded homes, and more will be impacted as it continues to rain and flood.
Hundreds of volunteers from across the country are working to provide safe shelter and comfort to people impacted by Harvey. The western and central New York regions have sent 47 people and three emergency response vehicles to Texas to support efforts.
