Representatives from Reliant Community Credit Union recently donated 125 pairs of sneakers that the Webster Central School District will distribute to elementary students in need.
“We are truly grateful to Reliant and all that they do in service to others right here in our One Webster community and beyond,” said Webster CSD Superintendent of Schools Carmen Gumina.
Reliant purchased 125 pairs of New Balance sneakers from Fleet Feet Sports Rochester, founded by Webster CSD alumni Dave “Boots” Boutillier and his wife, Ellen. Fleet Feet is a constant in the community’s foot race community and longtime supporters of Webster CSD activities that promote physical fitness for its students.
“Reliant is thrilled to be able to play a role in providing students with quality sneakers to help them be more active,” said Reliant’s Vice President of Marketing Deb Hellert. “We’re also honored to be able to partner with our local schools, and are excited about the enthusiasm and feedback we’ve received.”
