Genesee Valley American Public Works Association’s Project of the Year Award recently went to the Monroe County Bowerman Road Bridge Rehabilitation Project, led by Barton & Loguidice and the team from Monroe County Department of Transportation and Economy Paving.
Barton & Loguidice provided the design and construction inspection services for rehabilitation improvements, which included the installation of a new composite concrete deck, cover plates on the existing girders and a full continuity splice at the pier. Improvements included new concrete approach slabs, a steel bridge rail and new elastomeric bearings.
Genesee Valley APWA awards annually honor outstanding public works professionals and projects. Barton & Loguidice received recognition in the structural category for projects less than $5 million.
