Hilton Education Foundation will hold a food drive for the Cadet Cupboard from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on March 10 at Hilton High School, 400 East Ave.
Food may be dropped off at the back door near the tennis courts.
Cadet Cupboard, a food pantry for students in Hilton Central School District, provides children in need with essential, nutritious food that they can subtly take home and safely prepare on their own. For $6, a child in need in the community can be fed for an entire weekend.
“Food is a basic need for everyone, but especially for growing children,” said Scott Ziobrowski, food service director and Cadet Cupboard coordinator. “Childhood nutrition is critical to their mental and physical development.”
The cupboard needs donations of kid-friendly, nonperishable items. Visit bit.ly/2uG4cse for information. Perishable or glass items are not accepted. Monetary donations are appreciated. All donations will go directly to students.
