Erdman Anthony mechanical engineer earns LEED credential
Erdman Anthony announces that Sean Cooney earned his LEED AP BD+C credential.
Cooney is a mechanical engineer in the facilities engineering and design services core business in the Rochester office. He has a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering, with aerospace option, from Rochester Institute of Technology.
The Rochester resident is an engineer-in-training in New York.
Local soldiers re-enlist with New York Army National Guard
Spc. Jonathan O’Keefe, of Hilton, and Sgt. Curtis Heale, Spc. David McClary and Sgt. Scott Quick, of Rochester, recently re-enlisted to continue service in the New York Army National Guard.
Heale re-enlisted to continue service with the Company E, 1-171st Aviation Regiment. McClary serves with the Company B ,642nd Support Battalion.
O’Keefe and Quick re-enlisted to continue service with the Headquarters and Service Company, 642nd Support Battalion.
"New Yorkers count on our citizen soldiers to be ready and be there when disaster strikes, and our nation counts on our soldiers when duty calls for overseas service,” Maj. Gen. Anthony German said. “I congratulate our members for choosing to stay in service and striking that balance between military duties, education or employment commitments and family obligations."
FFC Mortgage hires Rochester loan officer
Melissa Powers, of Rochester, recently joined FFC Mortgage Corp. as a loan officer for its Rochester branch.
Powers graduated from Greece Arcadia High School. She majored in math and economics at Cornell University in Ithaca.
She went to work on Wall Street in 2009, where she traded mortgage-backed securities for five years. Powers moved back to Rochester to apply her skills to the mortgage lending industry.
