The Ying Quartet will return to the Eastman-Ranlet Series with its third performance this season at 3 p.m. on March 25 in Kilbourn Hall at Eastman School of Music, 26 Gibbs St., Rochester.
Its program will include Mendelssohn’s String Quartet in E-flat Major, Op. 12; Berg’s String Quartet, Op. 3; and Dvorak’s String Quartet in C Major, Op. 61.
The Ying Quartet consists of Robin Scott, violin; Janet Ying, violin; Phillip Ying, viola; and David Ying, cello. It has been quartet-in-residence at Eastman in 1997. All members teach in the string department as associate professors in their discipline.
