Greece resident promoted at The Summit FCU
The Summit Federal Credit Union recently promoted Linda Cala, of Greece, to consumer lending manager.
Cala previously served as senior loan coordinator.
She has worked at The Summit for 30 years.
Greece Chamber announces Hall of Fame youth
Greece Regional Chamber of Commerce will induct 13 local students into its 2018 Youth Hall of Fame from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on May 3 at The Mall at Greece Ridge, 271 Greece Ridge Center Drive, Rochester.
This year’s inductees are Aidan White, of Aquinas Institute; Charles Cannioto, Emma Doyle and Virginia Van Enckevort, of Greece Arcadia High School; Jacob DiMora and James DiMora, of Greece Athena HS; Lindsay Graham, of Greece Odyssey; William Green Jr., Spencer Johnson, Aryanna Lawson, Joshua McCleary and Jeffrey Semple, of Greece Olympia HS; and Jackson DiPalma, of Hilton HS.
The ceremony is free and open to the public.
Real estate agent joins Weichert Realtors
Tom Hawn recently joined Weichert Realtors at its True North office on Chili Avenue in Rochester.
Hawn joins a team of agents that bring years of combined real estate expertise to their clients.
The office is an independently owned and operated affiliate of Weichert Real Estate Affiliates Inc.
Rangers announce new girls volleyball coach
Spencerport Central School District recently named Jaime Passinault as the Rangers’ new varsity girls volleyball coach.
Passinault graduated from Churchville-Chili Senior High School and Roberts Wesleyan College, where she was a member and captain of the volleyball teams. She received a Bachelor of Arts in elementary education and a master’s degree in special education. She earned all-conference honors at Roberts Wesleyan, was inducted into the RWC Athletic Hall of Fame and served as an assistant coach to the Red Hawks.
She currently teaches special education with BOCES 2 in Spencerport.
Greece Chamber Charitable Foundation elects new leadership
Greece Chamber Charitable Foundation’s board of directors recently elected new directors and officers.
Michael Mordenga, president and CEO of The Victors Gymnastics Inc., was named president. Sarah Lentini, president and CEO of Greece Regional Chamber of Commerce, was elected vice president.
The board also elected Kyle VanPutte, president and CEO of VanPutte Gardens, as immediate past president; Anne Loria, vice president of strategic planning, assessment and research at Bryant & Stratton College, as secretary; and Gil Cooper, owner of Bud & Cooper Consultants, as treasurer.
Three directors were elected and added to the full board of directors: Russell Herman, of Pet$aver Healthy Pet Superstore; Mordenga; and Jay Wilmot, of The Mall at Greece Ridge.
