Austin McChord, founder and CEO of Datto Inc., will share his secrets to success with local business owners and senior managers at Small Business Council of Rochester’s annual “Headliner” event from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on May 17 at Hyatt Regency Rochester, 125 E. Main St.
Datto delivers advanced backup and disaster recovery solutions to thousands of fast-growing companies.
The “Headliner” event starts with networking at 5:30 p.m., with the presentation at 6:30 p.m. Tickets cost $30 for SBC members and $100 for a four-ticket package. General tickets cost $40 each, $140 for a four-ticket package.
“The ‘Headliner’ event is always one of our most well-attended events,” said Ray Isaac, president, SBC of Rochester. “We’re expecting that Austin’s success story and his ties to Rochester will be a huge draw for the Rochester business community. While Austin will offer formal remarks about his strategies for success, we will also be opening it up to an interactive discussion with event attendees.”
McChord started the business in his basement in 2007, and transformed it into one of Inc. 500’s fastest-growing backup and security companies. McChord’s success was made evident in 2017 when he gifted his alma mater, Rochester Institute of Technology, $50 million to pursue programs in entrepreneurship and cybersecurity.
