A Newark man, charged with touching a 17-year-old girl's buttocks, has been removed from the BOCES substitute teacher program

A BOCES substitute teacher at the Flint campus in Stanley is accused of touching a 17-year-old female student in the buttocks while in class.

Charged with forcible touching is Lee V. Maclaren, 76, of 1793 Hydesville Road, Newark, who was arrested about 10 a.m. Wednesday by Ontario County Sheriff's deputies following an investigation into an April 11 call from BOCES administration reporting inappropriate behavior by a substitute teacher.

Maclaren was processed at the sheriff's office in Canandaigua and issued an appearance ticket to return to Seneca Town Court at a later date.

Deputies said he has been removed as a substitute teacher for BOCES.
