Churchville-Chili’s 2018 Senior High School Art Show was an opportunity for art lovers to preview up-and-coming talent and marvel at the diversity of their artistic visions.
The show at Churchville-Chili Performing Arts Center included hundreds of drawings, paintings, prints, photographs, digital artwork and ceramics.
Artwork was created under the guidance of art teachers Kelly Bosco, Colleen L’Hommedieu, Cheryl Simon, James Pisaturo and Jonathan Woodard. Several teachers attended the opening reception to celebrate their student artists and meet parents, families, friends and community members.
“Our teachers are wonderful at opening conceptual doors and then letting young artists go through in their own ways,” said Jeff Smith, director of fine arts. “It is so exciting to see the highly individualized responses each student artist has to the prompt and challenge presented within the same project. Their artistic solutions are totally unique. Viewers were impressed with the maturity and levels of creativity on display here.”
